Bobby McAvan has spent the last 32 years in the Baltimore area,

playing, coaching and promoting the sport of soccer. He was born

to German and Scottish parents in Dundee, Scotland and is now a

resident of Catonsville, Md.

He has served the soccer community in many roles including:

Professional Championship Head Coach

Professional Championship Player

TV and radio color analyst

Director of Community Relations

Director of Summer Soccer Camps in Baltimore and Ocean City

Director of Coaching at the Maryland Sports Arena

Motivational guest speaker at schools, awards banquets and community functions

Coach McAvan will set realistic goals for your personal or team training and

knows from experience the rewards hard work can bring. He has lived in 3 countries

and has represented the Scottish National Team at Junior level and

the Canadian National Team at Olympic level. He has won National Titles in

both Canada and the USA. He has won numerous community awards, including

Baltimore Magazine’s Best Coaching Award.
